Frequently Asked Questions
What is a privacy screen and how does it work?
A privacy screen is a protective filter that limits the viewing angle of your laptop display. It works by using a special polarized layer that restricts visibility to direct viewing angles only, preventing people sitting beside or behind you from seeing your screen content. This is essential for protecting confidential information in open offices, coffee shops, or public transportation.
Is the Kensington FP133W10 compatible with my 13.3-inch laptop?
The Kensington FP133W10 is specifically designed for 13.3-inch displays with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Before purchasing, verify your laptop's screen size and aspect ratio. This 13.3-inch laptop privacy screen fits most modern ultrabooks and business laptops with this exact specification.
Can I switch between matte and glossy surfaces?
Yes, the reversible design allows you to flip the screen between matte and glossy surfaces. The matte side reduces glare and reflections, while the glossy side provides enhanced color vibrancy. Choose based on your lighting environment and personal preference.
Does this privacy screen reduce blue light?
Yes, the Kensington FP133W10 includes blue light reduction technology that filters harmful blue light emitted by your display. This helps reduce eye strain during extended work sessions and may improve sleep quality if you work late into the evening.
