This course is designed to teach attendees how to design, install, troubleshoot and perform advanced security configurations on Layer 3 core switches. The course provides the participants with the opportunity to practice in a lab environment.

IEEE 802.1x
The planning, configuration and troubleshooting of IEEE 802.1x will be covered and how IEEE standard 802.1x provides a method of restricting access to networks based on authentication information. Authentication configuration on a per-port basis. The main components of an IEEE 802.1x implementation will also be discussed: the authenticator, the supplicant and the authentication server.

Web authentication
This module gives an overview of Web-authentication and explains its main usage. An examination of the operation of Web-authentication is covered, as well as several examples of Web-authentication.

DHCP snooping
This module explains how to configure DHCP snooping on Allied Telesis switches, in order to secure against common DHCP attacks. DHCP Relay Agent Option 82 and ARP security will also be covered.
