Basic switch operations
Configuring basic switch operations using both the Command Line Interface (CLI) and Graphical User Interface (GUI). Initial connection, start up, port management and feature licensing.

Switching concepts
Introduction and configuration of switching concepts such as forwarding databases, port security/mirroring, broadcast limiting/storm control and Layer 2 filtering.

Introduction of Spanning Tree protocol and its parameters. Implementation and configuration of Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol.
