The UHD18-EXB400-K is an HDMI extender splitter designed to distribute a media signal to eight distant displays. Supporting video resolutions up to 4K@60Hz, it adheres to HDMI 2.0b and HDCP 2.2 standards. With an 18Gbps video bandwidth, it also accommodates HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. This extender can transmit media up to 400 feet away over CAT 6/7 cables. The Transmitter boasts an HDMI loop output for connecting a display near the source. Moreover, the device boasts advanced EDID management and two-way IR control, enabling control of the source from the receiver location and vice versa. Supporting Power over Cable technology, it requires only one power adapter at the Transmitter end to power the Receivers. You can extend the display devices up to 400 Feet when using with a shielded CAT6 cable.
The issue might be with the CAT cable. This might be due to the external interference of the signals & CAT5e has low bandwidth as compared to the CAT6. We recommend you using shielded CAT6 cable.
If the power and link led lights does not illuminate on the RJ45 port of the transmitter and the receiver, then the transmitter & receiver might be dead.

No, optical output doesn't supports CEC due to its limitations. CEC will work only with HDMI devices.
HDBaseT is the technology used for long distance transmission of lossless signals, resulting extremely low latency & giving the best picture quality.
In normal extenders, if you extend your signals up to some extend, the quality of the signals will degrade & you may find some latency issues. HDBaseT is the lastest standard which provides extending your signals to the longer distance without degrading the quality of the signals & with 0 latency.
We recommend you using a shielded CAT6 cables for optimum performance.
Our all the extenders supports IR Frequency & the devices using RF frequency will not be compatible with our products.
The IR Blaster/Emitter should be connected to the IR out port on the Transmitter and the IR Receiver should be connected to the IR in on the Receiver.
